36th Assembly District Donors Support Knight for Assembly


Campaign Has Diverse Base of Contributors

Palmdale – Palmdale City Councilman Steve Knight declared his most recent victory in his quest for State Assembly in the 36th district during the latest campaign finance reporting  .Knight successfully raised more than $102,000 from community leaders, small businesses and voters throughout the district (To View Knight’s full report click here).

“Steve has done a good job of reaching out to the community, said Victorville Mayor Terry Caldwell. It doesn’t surprise me that most of his support is coming from local donors. He has been working hard gathering up all of the major local endorsements, and now he has proven that the community supports him financially.”

“I want to thank all of my contributors and supporters. I am honored that the community believes in my candidacy and they have shown that with there financial support. Our campaign has continued to reach our fundraising goals, and I look forward to carrying this momentum on to Election Day,” remarked Steve Knight.

In addition Knight’s fundraising success, he has received tremendous community support from throughout the district, including the endorsements of Congressman Kevin McCarthy, Senator George Runner, Assemblywoman Sharon Runner, Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael Antonovich and the unanimous support of the Victorville and Lancaster City Councils.

Knight is running to replace Assemblywoman Sharon Runner for the 36th Assembly District. The District includes the major cities of Palmdale, Lancaster, Adelanto and Victorville. Assemblywoman Runner is prohibited from seeking re-election due to term limits.

In addition to being a Palmdale City Councilman, Knight is a Los Angeles Police Officer with more than 16 years of service. He lives in Palmdale with his wife and two sons.
